When buckles are to be used on baby sashes, helmets, etc., which may be subject to governmental safety regulations, please contact the sales representative.

Precautions for Use
1.Choose a buckle which matches the width of the strap. If an incorrect size of buckle is used, the buckle is apt to slip into an slanting position. In this instance, the extra load on the buckle may cause it to distort, resulting in slippage.
2.Ensure that both parts of the buckle are properly joined together. Failure to connect both parts securely will cause the buckle to unfasten.
3.After joining both parts of the buckle, ensure that they are firmly locked together by giving them a strong pull.
4.Buckles are intended for vertical or lateral applications only (see figure below).
5.Before fastening buckles that have been in use for a long time, ensure that there are no abnormalities such as cracks of fissures.
6.The following situations should be avoided as they may result in lowered performance:
*Closing or opening the buckle by application of force in an slanting direction.
*Uses involving shock to the buckles as a result of being thrown or hit, etc.
*Uses where the buckles come into contact with caustic substances such as rust-remover, battery discharges, etc., which may cause the buckle parts to crack, and to impair performance.
*Uses in which one part of a Nifco buckle is used with a part, whether metal or plastic, from another manufacturer.
We cannot accept responsibility for injuries, or for broken or faulty buckles which result from erroneous or violent use, or from unauthorized conversions.
